The first Catholic President of the United States of America was the youthful and charismatic John Fitzgerald Kennedy who was tragically assassinated on November 22nd, 1963 in Texas.
The second Catholic to assume the world’s most powerful office is Joe Biden who in contrast to JFK is rather drab and dull.
The great Catholic Church – an institution that I am proud to be born into at birth and will remain a member of till my mortal breath ceases hopefully in ripe old age, has remained steadfast in its opposition to the culture of death called abortion. Despite the gargantuan pressure being mounted on her by the radical left, it has remained like the Rock of Gibraltar, and as constant as the Northern Star in its virulent opposition to the cruel and heartless liquidation of innocent babies in a manner that will make the Biblical King Herod who ordered the massacre of the innocents not only shudder at the bestiality of his non-biological scions but also appear as a Saint in stark comparison.
He told an audience in a fundraising dinner in Maryland held for his second term re-election bid that he is a ‘practicing Catholic.’ He then added: “I’m not big on abortion, but guess what? Roe vs. Wade got it right.”
Life News reports that Catholic bishops have often criticized Biden and his abortion advocacy, including Bishop Michael Burbidge of Arlington, Virginia.
“President Biden recently stated that … his top priority will be pro-abortion legislation. I condemn abortion and any political tactic that would codify abortion as national policy,” Burbidge said.
“Fundamentally, abortion ends the life of a precious child and deeply wounds the child’s mother. The role of Congress is to pass laws that serve the common good — and yet this priority of the president only brings about pain and death.”
Burbidge wrote in response to Biden’s agenda: “We witness firsthand the wounds women and men endure after ending the life of their child. It is clear that they deserve better than abortion. Through various ministries, the Diocese of Arlington accompanies those who have suffered the pain of abortion.”
He added: “Any attempt to codify abortion, rather than to enact policies that support unborn children and mothers, should be met with peaceful, active, and staunch opposition from the Catholic faithful and all people of goodwill.”
It is tragic that the most visible current Catholic politicians most notably Joe Biden and Nancy Pelosi are heavily pro-abortion. Rather than use their divinely orchestrated privileged positions to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world by influencing the polity on the lines of opposition to abortion which makes Adolf Hitler a murder Lilliputian in comparison, they have chosen the path of political correctness for mere ephemeral gains.
Rather than think about their immortality both in the flesh and spirit, they are more concerned with the short-sighted politician stereotype of merely winning elections.
Biden is a huge disappointment to Catholics who despite the fact that they constitute the largest voting bloc among Christians in America suffer discrimination by other Christian groups which have largely kept them out of political power in Uncle Sam built on religious liberty.
America had its first election in 1789 which ushered in George Washington but it wasn’t until 1928 that former Governor of New York, Al Smith became the first Catholic to become the presidential nominee of a major political party when he won the Democratic Party Nomination. It wasn’t until 1960 that JFK became President and his tenure was cut short with his brutal assassination. Biden is really a huge letdown!
We recall the embarrassment suffered by Catholics in 2004 when heavily pro-abortion ‘Catholic’ and former US Secretary of State was trying to unseat the then highly unpopular George .W. Bush Jr who had plunged America into two needless wars. The former Governor of Texas who was clearly bereft of ideas cashed in on the pro-abortion voting record of Kerry in the Senate and sold the mantra that a vote for Kerry is a mortal sin. This resonated with the faithful and the charismatic ‘JFK’ wannabe as he was portrayed by the media since his historic meeting with the 35th President lost the elections.
Given America’s extremely important position as the world’s most powerful nation and the insidious effect of Biden’s pro-abortion record which has a heavy influence on her foreign policy as abortion has been greatly exported abroad, especially to African nations whose women get abortion-inducing drugs rather than maternal health services, Catholics should lead the vanguard to prevent him from returning to the White House in the best interest of their conscience and of Africa.
The world especially conservatives cannot afford a pro-abortion President – arguably America’s most pro-abortion a second term to cowardly finish off the innocents and reduce women’s wombs to mere political bargaining chips.
Enough is Enough!
