Justice Sylvanus Orji imposed travel restrictions on Hadi Sirika, his daughter Fatimah, and son-in-law Jalal Hamma following allegations of N2.7bn fraud. The trio faces charges related to abuse of office and breach of trust.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission accused Sirika of awarding inflated contracts and using his position for personal gain, violating anti-corruption laws. Despite their plea of not guilty, the court granted them bail but imposed stringent conditions.

Each defendant was required to post a N100m bail and present two sureties of equal sum, one owning property in the Federal Capital Territory. They must also submit affidavits of means and remain in Nigeria pending trial.

Justice Orji warned that failure to meet bail conditions would result in detention. The trial is set to resume in June.
