The Acting Comptroller-General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR, extended a commitment to fortify connections with the residents and administration of Plateau State during a courteous encounter with His Excellency, Governor Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, at Customs Headquarters in Abuja on September 29, 2023.
In the warm reception of the Governor and his delegation at the Corporate Headquarters of the Nigeria Customs Service, the Acting CGC underscored the strides made by the service within its initial 100 days and its dedication to reinvigorating the agency through collaborative ventures with stakeholders and governors across the nation.
In response to the governor’s plea to integrate Plateau into the states benefiting from Customs’ humanitarian aid, the Acting CGC ensured swift intervention, accentuating the Service’s pivotal role in dispensing both food and non-food items to communities.
Governor Caleb Manasseh conveyed appreciation for the initiatives aimed at enhancing the Customs Institution and sought continued backing and collaboration to fortify the economy and security of Plateau State.
This visit mirrors the Acting CGC’s persistent endeavors to enhance ties with state governments, foster trade, and ensure border security across the entire federation.
