NNPP cuts relationship with Kwankwasiya Movement

Must read

Reports from Kano indicate that the new leadership of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has cut off its relationship with the Kwankwasiya Movement.

The party’s new leadership announced the withdrawal of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that the former leaders of the NNPP signed with the movement.

It accused Kwankwasiya Movement of going all out to massage the ego of its sole owner, which was not in line with the party’s policies of openness and inclusiveness.

NNPP National Chairman, Dr. Agbo Gilbert Major, also announced his resolve to overhaul the party’s structures across all levels nationwide.

In a statement obtained by our correspondent, the NNPP’s acting National Publicity Secretary, AbdulSalam AbdulRasaq, urged numerous members and supporters to remain calm in the face of “this brazen assault of the Kwankwasiya Movement, whose members were erroneously made to believe the party was sold to them, and called on all aggrieved and displaced members who left for whatever reason to return home”.
