Must read

In a move to address the burgeoning demand for travel between Lagos and London, Air Peace, a prominent Nigerian airline, has announced an expansion of capacity on its popular route, as revealed through the airline’s official Facebook account on Wednesday.

With the surge in demand, prospective passengers now have a wider selection of options when considering Air Peace for their London-bound journeys.

The airline’s statement expressed gratitude to both the Nigerian and UK communities for their unwavering support, underscoring its commitment to upholding national pride while striving to meet the evolving needs of travellers.

Air Peace made its inaugural flight to London over the weekend, welcoming 260 passengers aboard a Boeing 777 aircraft with a seating capacity of 274. Operating on a daily basis from Lagos, the route has quickly become a pivotal link between the two countries.

This strategic move has disrupted prevailing market dynamics, prompting foreign carriers that previously monopolized the route to reassess their pricing strategies in response to heightened competition.

Allen Onyema, the Chief Executive Officer of Air Peace, disclosed that tickets for Lagos-London flights with the airline are now fully booked until September, reflecting the overwhelming demand for its services.

Speaking during an interview with Arise TV, Onyema highlighted Air Peace’s ambitious expansion plans, citing the acquisition of over 30 aircraft and pending orders for an additional 33. With aspirations to grow its fleet to over 60 aircraft, the airline remains steadfast in its commitment to enhancing connectivity and providing superior service to passengers across its network.
