The Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) has issued a firm denial of recent claims circulating online about a purported recruitment drive for 2024/2025. The agency called the reports “brazen falsehoods,” warning the public not to be deceived by fraudulent individuals seeking to exploit job seekers.
In a statement addressing the spread of these misleading stories, particularly on platforms such as the Nairaland Forum, AMCON clarified that it is not currently recruiting staff. Furthermore, the agency has not authorised any firm or recruitment agency to act on its behalf.
“We want the public to be aware that these stories are entirely false,” AMCON stated. “These rumours are designed to mislead innocent job seekers and the general public. Please do not fall prey to fraudsters.”
AMCON, which serves as a federal recovery agency, emphasised its commitment to acting within the law and advised the public to ignore any claims suggesting otherwise. “We encourage everyone to disregard these misrepresentations and remain vigilant against online scams,” the corporation urged.
The agency reaffirmed its status as a law-abiding institution, reiterating that any future recruitment exercises would be conducted transparently and announced through official channels.
