In response to media inquiries regarding the Lagos State Police Command’s claim of not receiving a response from the NDLEA (National Drug Law Enforcement Agency) concerning allegations surrounding the late artist Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, popularly known as MohBad, the NDLEA clarified that its response was indeed dispatched on Thursday, September 28, 2023, and received by the police on the same day.

The NDLEA emphasized its commitment to addressing the issue promptly, highlighting that its formal response was sent via flight to Lagos, ensuring its swift delivery. The summary of the response is reiterated for the public’s understanding:

In the statement, the NDLEA stated, “We also heard the unsubstantiated allegation on social media that Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, aka MohBad, was arrested and detained by the NDLEA on February 24, 2022, and given a substance to drink. In response to this allegation, we wish to state categorically that MohBad was never arrested, nor was he ever detained in the custody of the NDLEA on the said date or any other date before or after. The foregoing being the case, the issue of giving him any substance to drink does not arise.”

This clarification aims to set the record straight and ensure accurate information is available to the public amidst ongoing inquiries into the allegations surrounding MohBad’s arrest and detention.
