Nigeria, UAE Reach Landmark Agreement to Resume Visa Issuance

The Federal Government of Nigeria has successfully signed an agreement with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to resume visa issuance for Nigerians wishing to travel to the Middle Eastern country, sparking widespread excitement among Nigerians on Monday.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, shared the news with State House correspondents following the Federal Executive Council meeting at Aso Rock Villa in Abuja. “I can tell you that the agreement has been reached, and effective from today, Nigerian passport holders intending to travel to the UAE are able to do so,” Idris announced.

Expanding on the development, Idris noted, “You are aware that Nigeria has been in discussions with the United Arab Emirates regarding the visa issue for Nigerian passport holders traveling to the UAE. This agreement marks a significant milestone in those discussions and opens up new opportunities for travel and cooperation between our two nations.”
