Comrade Oladele John Nihi, Special Assistant to the Governor of Kogi State on Youth and Student Matters, convened a meeting today with student representatives from the National Association of Kogi State Students (NAKOSS) and the Association of Nigeria Female Students (ANFS) to address the recent surge in attacks on students in Felele, Lokoja, perpetrated by thugs and cultists.

Governor Ododo, in a strong denouncement, condemned the attacks and swiftly responded by instructing the formation of a committee comprised of relevant authorities and security personnel to conduct a thorough investigation, swiftly identify perpetrators, and put an immediate halt to these distressing incidents.

Nihi, during the meeting, cautioned those responsible for the acts of terror to cease their activities, emphasizing that there will be no leniency for anyone apprehended. “Kogi State is no place for cultism and thuggery,” he asserted.

He further conveyed the governor’s unwavering commitment to ensuring the safety and well-being of every student in Kogi State, assuring that the government will mobilize all necessary resources to apprehend the perpetrators and ensure they face the full extent of the law, thereby guaranteeing continued safety for the students.
