Starting his journey in Abuja, Nigeria, Deputy Secretary Campbell is poised to co-chair the sixth U.S.-Nigeria Binational Commission (BNC) alongside Foreign Minister Yusuf Tuggar. The agenda promises robust deliberations on an array of crucial issues ranging from partnerships and security cooperation to shared prosperity and democracy. In addition to these formal engagements, Campbell is scheduled to hold meetings with influential figures from Nigeria’s governmental, business, and civil society spheres.

Transitioning to London, the Deputy Secretary is set to partake in bilateral discussions concerning the Indo-Pacific region and the AUKUS trilateral security partnership. Amidst these talks, the focus will also be on extending support for Ukraine while navigating efforts towards a ceasefire in Gaza and addressing the dire humanitarian crisis.

The final leg of Campbell’s diplomatic odyssey brings him to Paris, where he will participate in the OECD Ministerial Council Meeting (MCM) under the theme of “Co-creating the Flow of Change.” As the agenda delves into discussions on sustainable and inclusive growth, the Deputy Secretary will engage with French counterparts on matters pertaining to Ukraine, the People’s Republic of China’s support for Russia’s actions in Ukraine, and the imperative of an Indo-Pacific dialogue.
